Education is critically important in our society. If you think about it, the vast majority of the things you know how to do were taught to you at some point or another. It is no wonder why we are starting to value higher education more and more.
Kids are being encouraged more than ever to stay in school and to graduate with a high school diploma. In fact, having a Bachelor’s degree is no longer enough. Before that was the accepted amount of higher level learning and made you a competitive force in the job market. Now, it is as good as having a high school diploma. People want to see Master’s and Doctorate degrees on resumes, not just a standard four-year degree.
Apart from education as a whole being encouraged, there are specific subjects that are being enforced to younger generations. Science, technology, engineering, and math, otherwise known as “S.T.EM.” are being highly enforced among kids today. These subjects are known as the subjects of the future, the ones that will help us create a better world, and subjects that are unfortunately lacking students.
How is education, and specifically S.T.E.M. subjects, going to not only effect the tourism industry, but help shape it? Below you’ll find a few examples of how these school subjects are already making waves in the industry.
